I just finished an illustration for “Straight To Ale Brewing”. This is it. India Ink on scratchbord.

These photos were snapped last year during the “Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit” sessions at FAME. The photographer was Ben Tanner, the assistant engineer on the album. Thats me reading from the Cormac McCarthy book “The Road” and Derry and Matt Pence doing prepared piano on “Sunstroke”. Im not sure what song we were cutting in the full room shot.

Thanks for helping me see layers of shit in my own art and music I didn’t even know were there. Thanks for always being real. Thanks for always being such an asshole to the people who deserved it and being so forgiving of the people who usually didn’t. I would be sure you were an alien if you weren’t such a damn fine human being. I love you very much and Ill miss you for life.
